She has been personally mentored by some of the top musculoskeletal therapists in the United States, including the founder of the International Association for Yoga Therapists, Larry Payne, PhD, and Sherry Brourman, author of “Walk Yourself Well” and designer for Sketchers on the “Shape Up” shoes that improves posture and muscle tone by just walking.

HHer specialty in “Chair Yoga” & PTSD came about when her quadriplegic friend had a desire to do yoga. She created a program specialized for people in wheel chairs, elderly, and/or others who had physical and phycological problems/injuries that challenged their ability to get onto the floor on a yoga mat. Her focus is teaching the connection between Mind, Body, and Breath. Having the body and mind surrender to the breath, allowing for soft tissue injuries to heal, muscles to release, minds to quiet, emotions to release, and deepen physical openings.

Michelle teaches beginners and up to advanced yoga, implementing therapeutic cues to help access awareness of movement, strength, agility and balance; which when combined, create fluidity, stress reduction, with increased oxygen and energy flow through the body. Whether you have back, neck, knee, hip or shoulder pain, you will find a healing direction within your yoga practice under Michelle's expertise and guidance.
As a lifetime student and after over 20 years of disciplined practice in “Kriya Yoga”, Michelle has also embraced the lighter side of yoga and life, getting certified in Laughter Yoga”. Her motto, “Life is serious enough we need to lighten our hearts and laugh a little more”
